Laboratory Inventory Management

• Manage inventories of chemicals, consumables, laboratory supplies, and research materials.
• Coordinate purchasing, receiving, labeling, and storage of laboratory materials.
• Maintain chemical inventories and ensure accurate records in inventory management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate routine replenishment to minimize disruptions.
• Track equipment maintenance schedules, service records, and calibration requirements.

   Laboratory Safety and Compliance

• Implement and enforce laboratory safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with institutional, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
• Manage chemical hygiene, hazardous waste handling, and laboratory inspections.
• Coordinate safety training and maintain required training records.
• Investigate laboratory incidents and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for laboratory safety audits and compliance activities.

   Laboratory Organization and Space Management

• Organize laboratory workspaces to support efficient operation and safe workflows.
• Oversee equipment placement, storage systems, and shared laboratory resources.
• Coordinate installation, relocation, and decommissioning of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure laboratories remain clean, organized, and ready for daily operation.
• Develop systems for equipment reservations, shared resources, and laboratory access.

   Standard Operating Procedures and Documentation

• Develop, maintain, and update laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and equipment operating procedures.
• Maintain laboratory manuals, safety documentation, and regulatory records.
• Ensure documentation reflects current laboratory practices and equipment configurations.
• Support continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and documentation standards.
