​This project focuses on the development of mission planning for assistive agents. The primary objective is to enable agents to aid humans by recognizing needs in outdoor settings. Upon identification, the agents will initiate appropriate assistance measures, which may include coordination with other agents or direct intervention.

Position Introduction

​This project focuses on the development of mission planning for assistive agents. The primary objective is to enable agents to aid humans by recognizing needs in outdoor settings. Upon identification, the agents will initiate appropriate assistance measures, which may include coordination with other agents or direct intervention.

Key Responsibilities

During the time of the internship, you are expected to:

  • Develop an algorithm for mission planning by using large language models, search algorithms, and/or Bayesian inference.
  • Support the development of a benchmark dataset for the evaluation of results.
  • Develop and evaluate metrics to verify the reliability of the proposed algorithms.
  • Contribute to a portfolio of patents, academic publications, and prototypes to demonstrate research value.

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • ​Ph.D. or highly qualified M.S. student in computer science, cognitive science, or related field.
  • Strong research experience in decision making, cognitive science and/or machine learning.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in algorithms and environments for embodied agents.
  • Experience in open-source deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++.

 

Bonus Qualifications
  • ​Knowledge in theory-of-mind, Bayesian inference, or multi-agent planning.
  • Publications in artificial intelligence conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, AAMAS, etc.)
