Socially Aware Intention Learning for Interaction Motion Planning for Navigation

Job Number: P23INT-47
This position investigates motion planning and decision-making algorithms for social robots and autonomous driving applications. In Social settings, robots need to interact with humans to learn their intention online and adapt their motion plans accordingly, all in a socially acceptable manner. This internship will include development of algorithms for autonomous driving, which span Bayesian filtering, sampling-based motion planning, dual control, and active learning. The intern will collaborate with HRI scientists and engineers and have the opportunity to publish their results in academic conferences.
San Jose, CA
