Honda Research Institute USA (HRI-US) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Robotics Software Engineering Intern to work on developing reliable software modules for autonomous driving and cooperative mobility research. Contribute to the development of efficient generative models for end-to-end autonomous driving.
Mountain View, CA

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Train and distill a generative model for the end-to-end autonomous driving task.
  • Curate Dataset for generalizable model training.
  • Benchmark the developed algorithm's performance in closed loop simulation and on physical hardware.
  • Publish findings in a top-tier conference or journal.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Research experience in machine learning, decision-making, motion planning, and robotics.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and/or C++, and ROS.
  • Experience with ML architectures like Pytorch or Tensorflow.

 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Publication record in the areas of machine learning, decision-making and motion planning in top-tier venues.
