During the time of employment, you are expected to participate in the development, implementation, and validation of a state-of-the-art optimization-based motion planning algorithm to expand our autonomous driving features. This will include algorithm development, coding, testing, and validation.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct literature review to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of optimization-based motion planning and trajectory optimization for autonomous driving.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of an optimization-based motion planning and trajectory generation algorithm in a high-quality software.
  • Participate in testing and validation of the developed motion planning algorithm and its performance evaluation compared with other motion planners available in the literature.
  • Submit a paper to a top-tier research conference or journal

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • M.S. candidate in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing trajectory optimization/optimization-based motion planning algorithms.
  • Programming and software design skills in C++ and Python.

 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Ph.D. candidate in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with numerical methods for solving nonlinear programming (NLP) and constrained optimization problems.
  • Fluency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with C++.
  • Experience with geometric, search-based, and sampling motion planning algorithms.
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Publication record in a top-tier research conference or journal.
